Reading Material

Our readings explore the various sources of knowledge (natural sciences, social sciences, history, art), the methods used to identify and acquire knowledge (theoretical, empirical, textual, experiential), and the limits that we as humans encounter in this pursuit. We are currently reading Jurgen Habermas’s On the Logic of the Social Sciences.

Welcome
Come explore with us! Our only requirement is your willingness to 'mine' important writings for the discoveries that they will offer. Mark the passages that mean the most to you, whether you agree or disagree with them. Then share those with us at our monthly session as we make our way through the selection. Help the group develop a deep understanding of what each author is really saying. And, of course, have a grand time in the process!

Additional Directions

Barnes and Noble does us the courtesy of providing a table and chairs at the right hand side (upon entrance) of the store.
